The Stereo Boombox with SRS is a docking station for iPhone and iPod which plays music from the handset or via the line-in port. It features a digital clock, radio tuner and touch pad control with IR remote. It includes two 12 watt speakers, a high resolution VFD display with a sound sensitive graphic equalizer and is encased in a stylish aluminum top. The Sound Retrieval System (SRS) is a psychoacoustic 3D audio processing technology which applies head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) to create an enveloping 3D soundscape using only two speakers. The system widens the sweet spot, the focal point between two speakers where the listener can hear the stereo audio mix the way it was intended to be heard, to produce a sense of ambience and strong localisation cues to emphasise discrete instrumentation within an audio mix.
