I am naturally very pale and have worked my way through various lotions and potions in the quest to achieve a 'natural' fake tan. some left me orange, and even the most expensive products left me streaky even after vigorous exfoliating. just when I thought that I should give up and surrender to my natural whiteness, my housemate brings home a bottle of fake bake. |
Application is a little scary. the content of the bottle is a thick, gloopy concoction and you feel as if you are coating yourself in bovril. it doesn't seem to blend very well, but you have to trust me that you have nothing to worry about! the tan looks really dark when it goes on, but this is just to show you where you have applied it.
After a night rolling around in the dried on bovril, I jumped in the shower looking like a caveman, and emerged looking like a goddess! I have to say that we are both absolutely delighted with the results. no streakiness (even with our haphazard application). |

Even better is the price: under £20, a lot cheaper than many of the other fake tans that have left me looking ridiculous. this product is not tested on animals, and any tan that is left on clothes, bed sheets, towels etc (and walls, floor and cat in my case) will wash out with ease. I cannot express how superb this product really is. you have to try it to believe it! |
